\sf\large\underline{Correct\: Question:}

The circumference of the base of a right circular cylinder is 88m. If the height of the cylinder is 42m. Find the volume of the cylinder.

\sf\large\underline{Given:}

  • \tt{Diameter\:_{(cyclinder)}=88m}
  • \tt{Height\:_{(cycling)}=42m}

\sf\large\underline{To\: Find:}

  • \tt{Volume\:_{(cyclinder)}=?}

\sf\large\underline{Solution:}

  • By applying formula to calculate the volume of cyclinder before calculate the volume we have to find out the radius of cyclinder cyclinder with the help of given circumference]

\tt{\implies Circumference\:_{(base\:of\: cyclinder)}=2\pi\:r}

\tt{\implies 88=2\times\:\frac{22}{7}\times\:r}

\tt{\implies r=\frac{88\times\:7}{22\times\:2}}

\tt{\implies r=2\times\:7}

\tt{\implies r=14m}

\sf\large\underline{Formula\: used:}

  • \tt{Volume\:_{(cyclinder)}=\pi\:r^2\:h}

\tt{\implies Volume\:_{(cyclinder)}=\frac{22}{7}\times\:14^2\times\:42}

\tt{\implies Volume\:_{(cyclinder)}=22\times\:14\times\:14\times\:6}

\tt{\implies Volume\:_{(cyclinder)}=25872\:m^3}

\sf\large{Hence,}

\bf{\implies Volume\:_{(cyclinder)}=25872\:m^3}

\bf{\blue{\bigstar}} Correct Question :

  • The circumference of the base of a right circular cylinder is 88cm . If the height is 42cm. Find the volume of the cylinder .

\bf{\blue{\bigstar}} Answer :

Given the circumference of the base of a right circular cylinder = 88 m

⇒ 2πr = 88

⇒ 2*(22/7)*r = 88

⇒ r = 14 m

Height of the cylinder ,  h = 42 m

Now volume of the cylinder , v = πr²h

⇒ v = π*(14)²*(42)

⇒ v = (22/7)*196*42

⇒ v = 25872 m³

Hence , the volume of the cylinder , v = 25872 m³
