★ Given:

Circumference of a cylinder = 44 cm

TSA = 968 cm²

★ To Find:

Sum of height and radius.

★ Solution:

Circumference = 44 cm  ----- (1)

Formula to find circumference = 2πr ----- (2)

Combining (1) and (2):

2πr = 44 cm

\sf{=2\times\dfrac{22}{7}\times\:r=44\:cm}

\sf{=\dfrac{44}{7}\times\:r=44\:cm}

\sf{r=44\times\dfrac{7}{44}}

\sf{r=7\:cm}

So, radius = 7 cm

TSA = 968 cm² ----- (3)

Formula to find TSA = 2πr (r + h) ----- (4)

Combining (3) and (4):

2πrh = 968 cm²

\sf{2\times\dfrac{22}{7}\times7(7+h)=968\:cm^2}

\sf{44 (7+h)=968\:cm^2}

\sf{7+h=\dfrac{968}{44}}

\sf{h=22-7}

\sf{h=15\:cm}

So, height = 15 cm

Here, we are asked to find the sum of the height and the radius.

Radius = 7 cm

Height = 15 cm

Sum = 7 + 15

= 22 cm

Hence the required option is Option D: 22 cm.
