Given:-

  • Circumference of the base of cylinder = 44cm

  • Height of cylinder,h = 10cm

To Find:-

  • Curved surface area (CSA).

Solution:-

Firstly we calculate the radius of cylinder.

Let the radius of cylinder be r.

As we know that

→ Circumference of cylinder = 2πr

Substitute the value we get

→ 44 = 2πr

→ 44 = 2×22/7 ×r

→ 44×7/44 = r

→ 2×7 = r

→ 14 = r

→ r = 14cm

Now Calculating curved surface area of cylinder

→ CSA of Cylinder = 2πr²h

Substitute the value we get

→ CSA = 2×22/7×14×14×10

→ CSA = 44×2×14×10

→ CSA = 88×140

→ CSA = 12320 cm²

The curved surface area of the cylinder is 12320 cm² .
