Circumference of circle= 2πR

220= 2×(22/7)×R

(220×7)/(2×22)= R

R=35cm

Area of circle= πR^2= (22×35×35)/7

= 3850cm^2

Given :-

• The circumference of the circle is 220cm

To Find :-

• The radius of the circle = ?

• Area of the circle = ?

Formula used :-

• Circumference of the circle = 2πr

• Area of circle = πr^2

Solution A :-

Here , Circumference is given = 220cm

π = 22/7 or 3.14

Now , Circumference of the circle = 2πr

220 = 2 * 22/7 * r

220 = 44/ 7 * r

r = 220 * 7 / 44

r = 5 * 7

r = 35cm

Hence , The radius of the circle is 35cm

Solution B :-

Here ,

The value of π = 22/7 or 3.14

Radius of the circle = 35cm

Area of the circle = πr^2

Area of the circle = 22/7 * 35 * 35

Area of the circle = 3850cm^2
