Answer:

Given :-

Circumference of the circle = 2πr=44

2πr = 44

2×22/7 × r = 44

r = 44×1/2×7/22

r = 7cm

:. Radius of the circle = 7cm.

Area of circle = πr²

= 22/7×7×7

= 22×7

= 154cm²

Area of semi circle = 1/2 area of circle

= 1/2 ×154

= 77 cm².

Hope it helps you....

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

ANSWER:-

Given:-

  • Circumference as 44 units.
  • We need to find area of the circle.
  • Also, we need area of semi circle.

Concept is:-

  • We will find Radius by circumference of circle.
  • Then we will find the area of whole circle.
  • And them , we will divide the area by 2.

\sf{Circumference = 2 \times \pi \times r}

44 = 2 \times \dfrac{22}{7} \times r

r = \dfrac{44 \times 7}{22 \times 2}

Radius is 7 units.

We need now, area.

\bf{Area \ of \ Circle =  \pi \times r ^2}

= \dfrac{22}{7} \times 7 \times 7

= 154 square units.

Area of semicircle now,

\dfrac{154}{2} = 77 u^2 is the answer.

Note:-

  • We need to remember the formulas for areas of circle.
  • We need to remember the formula for circumference, and here r is the radius of the circle,
  • Diameter = 2*Radius of the same circle.
