Given :

⬤ Circumference of Cylinder is 132 cm .

To Find :

⬤ Diameter of Cylinder .

Formula Used :

\sf[\:{Circumference\:of\:Circle=2\pi{r}\:]}

Solution :

According to the Formula :

132 = 2πr

132 = 2 × 22/7 × r

132/1 = 44r/7

7(132) = 44r

924 = 44r

924/44 = r

21 = r

Therefore , Radius of Cylinder is 21 cm .

Now :

As , Diameter is double of Radius . Hence ,

Diameter = r + r

21 + 21

42

Therefore , Diameter of Cylinder is 42 cm .

Answer:

42 cm is the length length of the diameter

Explanation:

Let the diameter of the cylinder = a

Circumference of the cylinder = 132 cm

➡ Circumference = π × diameter

➡ 132 cm = π × a

➡ 132 cm = 22/7 × a

➡ 132cm × 7/22 = a

➡ 924cm/22 = a

➡ 42cm = a

Diameter = a = 42cm

More:

The diameter and the circumference of the circle has a relation. Diameter × a constant (let's say p ) = circumference. Here, either one of them or both diameter or circumference is irrational . So p will be irrational. We call this constant "pi" ( π ). approx- 3.14

Formula could also be restated as :

Circumference = 2 × π × radius ( as radius is half the diameter )
