The circumference of the front wheel of a car is 10 dm and that of the hind wheel in 16 dm. How many revilutions more will the first wheel make than the second in covering a distance of 96 km?

Answer:

If DM = decimeter ; 1. circumference 10 Dm = 1 meter so revolution distance = 96000 meter .

so front wheel takes 96000 revolution.

2. similarly 1dm = 1/ 10 meter so 16 DM = 16/ 10 = 1.6 meter of circumference .

Rear wheel revolution = 96000/ 1.6 = 60000

so answer is 96000-60000= 36000 more revolution by front or first wheel
