the circumference of the two concentric are 88 cm and 66 cm respectively find the width between the Rings.

Let R and r are two radii of the

Concentric circles .

Perimeter of the outer circle = 88 cm

2πR = 88

R = 88/ 2π --- ( 1 )

Perimeter of the inner circle = 66cm

2πr = 66

r = 66/ 2π -----( 2 )

Width between the rings

= ( 1 ) - ( 2 )

= 88/2π - 66/2π

= 22/2π

= ( 22 × 7 ) / ( 2 × 22 )

[ Since π = 22/7 ]

= 7/2

= 3.5 cm
