Answer:

R - r = 7 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the radii of the two circles be R and r where R > r

2πR = 176                   and               2πr = 132

So,    2πR - 2πr = 176 - 132

         2π(R - r) = 44

         2(22/7)(R - r) = 44

         44/7 × (R - r) = 44

          (R - r)/7 = 1

          R - r = 7 cm

Hope it helps

So for the 1st one

176 = \pi × x

x = \frac{176}{\pi }

= 56.0 cm ( 3 significant figures)

The next one is :

132 = \pi × y

y = \frac{132}{\pi }

= 42.0 cm (3 significant figures)

So the difference is 56 - 42 = 14 cm (diameter)

So radii difference is 14 ÷ 2

= 7 cm (radii)
