Answer:

Given :-

  • The circumference of a circle is 88 cm.

To Find :-

  • What is the area of a circle.

Formula Used :-

\clubsuit Circumference Of Circle Formula :

\bigstar \: \: \sf\boxed{\bold{\pink{Circumference_{(Circle)} =\: 2{\pi}r}}}\: \: \bigstar\\

where,

  • π = Pie or 22/7
  • r = Radius

\clubsuit Area Of Circle Formula :

\bigstar \: \: \sf\boxed{\bold{\pink{Area_{(Circle)} =\: {\pi}r^2}}}\: \: \bigstar\\

where,

  • π = Pie or 22/7
  • r = Radius

Solution :-

First, we have to find the radius :

\implies \bf Circumference_{(Circle)} =\: 2{\pi}r

\implies \sf 2{\pi}r =\: 88

\implies \sf 2 \times \dfrac{22}{7} \times r =\: 88

\implies \sf \dfrac{44}{7} \times r =\: 88

\implies \sf r =\: \dfrac{7 \times 88}{44}

\implies \sf r =\: \dfrac{616}{44}

\implies \sf r =\: 14\: cm

Now, we have to find the area of circle :

\mapsto \bf Area_{(Circle)} =\: {\pi}r^2

\mapsto \sf Area_{(Circle)} =\: \dfrac{22}{7} \times (14)^2

\mapsto \sf Area_{(Circle)} =\: \dfrac{22}{7} \times 196

\mapsto \sf\bold{\red{Area_{(Circle)} =\: 616\: cm^2}}

\therefore The area of the circle is 616 cm² .

  • As per the data given in the question, we have to determine the area of the circle.

        Given data:-Circumference=88cm.

        To find:- Area.

         Solution:-

  • As we know that, The perimeter of the circle will be find using the equation
  • C=2π(r), where r= the radius of the circle.

       Therefore,

       \Rightarrow C=2\pi r\\\\\Rightarrow 88=2\pi r\\\Rightarrow r=\frac{88}{2\pi }\\\Rightarrow r=14cm.

  So, the area of circle will be

      =\pi r^{2} \\=\pi\times 14^{2} \\=616cm^{2}.

Hence, the area will be 616cm^{2}.
