1. Mawsynram gets more than 1100cm rainfall and Cherrapunji gets more than 1000cm.

2. The western part of the Western Ghats and the windward side of the Garo-Khasi-Jaintia hills get more than 200cm rainfall.

3. The Deccan plateau gets only 90cm rainfall.

4. The western part of Aravalli hills (Thar) gets less than 25cm rainfall.

1. Temperature of Rajasthan reaches 40°C
2. Temperature of Ladakh reaches -40°C
