The closed containers of the same capacity and at the same
temperature are filled with 44 g of H, in one and 44 g of CO2
in the other. If the pressure of carbon dioxide in the second
container is 1atm, then pressure of hydrogen in the first
container would be:

Answer:

Explanation:no of moles of co2=44/44=1mole

No of moles of hydrogen=44/2=22

containers are of same capacity i.e. they have same volume.

Now volume and temperature both are same for carbon dioxide and hydrogen

Therefore from ideal gas equation, pressure is directly proportional to no of moles

(1-co2...2-h2)

P1/P2=n1/n2

1/P2= 1/22

P2= 22atm

Hence pressure of hydrogen is 22 atm
