the cloth required to make a shirt of school uniform for each boy is 1m 80cm how many shirts can tailor stich using 40m of cloth ? how much cloth will be left?

hey!!!

cloth required to make one shirt = 1m 80cm = 1.8m

total cloth = 40m

therefore no. of shirts can be made from the cloth = 40/1.8

= 22.22 (approximately)

hence, 22 shirts can be made from the cloth.

cloth left = 40 - ( 1.8 × 22 )

= 40 - 39.6

= 0.4

0.4m cloth is left..
