Answer:

a=4 ; b=3 pls mark as brainliest

Step-by-step explanation:

x=3. y=-1

ax+by=9

substituting the values

a(3)+b(-1)=9

3a-1b=9. ..........(1)

bx+ay=5

substituting the values

3b-1a=5 ........(2)

From (1)&(2)

3a-1b=9

-1a+3b=5

_________

2a+2b=14

2(a+b)=14

a+b=7

a=7-b......(3)

take any equation a substitute the above value

3a-1b=9

3(7-b)-1b=9

21-3b-1b=9

21-4b=9

-4b=-12

b=3....(4)

take equation (3)

a=7-b

a=7-3

a=4......(5)

From(4)&(5)

we get as ...

a=4;b=3
