or, x²/1/4 + y²/1/9 = 1  

hence , a² = 1/4              ; a = 1/2                      ∴e = √(1- b²/a²) = √( 1 - 4/9 )

hence the coordinates of the focus is = (±ae, 0)  

                                                               = (±3×√5/3,0) = (±√5,0)
