Hi,

mid point of the line joining the points

( x1 , y1 ) = ( 3p , 4 ) and ( x2 , y2 ) = ( -2 , 2q )

is

( x1 + x2 /2 , y1 + y2 /2 ) = ( 5 , p )

( 3p -2 /2 , 4 + 2q /2 ) = ( 5 , p )

Therefore ,

( 3p - 2 ) / 2 = 5 ; ( 4 + 2q ) /2 = p

3p - 2 = 10 ; 4 + 2q = 2p

3p = 12 ; 2 + q = p

p = 12/3 ; q = p -2

p = 4 ; q = 4 -2

p = 4 ; q = 2

I hope this helps you.
