let take x as bats and y as balls,

then, 7 bats = 7x, 6 balls = 6y,

= 7x+6y = 3800

= 7x=3800-6y

= x = (3800-6y)/7

then,

he buys 3 bats and 5 balls as 1750

= 3x +5y = 1750

( inserting the value of x as (3800-6y)/7)

=3( (3800-6y)/7) ) + 5y = 1750

=(( 11400-18y )/7 ) + 5y = 1750

= (11400-18y+35y)/7 = 1750

= (11400 + 17y )/7 = 1750

= 11400 + 17y = 1750× 7

= 17y = 12250-11400

= y = 850/ 17 = 50

then,

7x + 6y = 3800

= 7x + 6 × 50 = 3800

= 7x = 3800- 300

= x = 3500/7 = 500.

so, each value of bat is rs 500 and ball rs 50

Answer:

bat costs RS 500 ball cost RS 50

Step-by-step explanation:

Let bats be x

Let balls be y

7x+6y = 3800

3x+5y = 1750

3(7x+6y = 3800)

7(3x+5y = 1750 )

21x + 18y = 11400

21x + 35y = 12250

21x + 35y = 12250

-(21x + 18y = 11400)

21x + 35y = 12250

-21x -18y =- 11400

17y = 850

Y = 850/17

y= 50

So , 3x+5y = 1750

3x + 5(50) = 1750

3x = 1750 - 250

X = 1500/3

x= 500

Each bat cost RS 500

Each ball costs RS 50
