The coil of a heater is cut into equal halves and one is used in the heater. What happened to the resistance of the coil?

Resistance is directly proportional to the length of the wire. If half length of the wire is used, the resistance would become less.

When heater coil is cut into two equal coil then length get halved. So following it resistance is also reduced to half. H=V²/R. By using this we can conclude that if resistance is halved then heat produced is doubled
