yes I agree.. the British forced the Indians to grow indigo and other cash crops and they also bought Indian handcrafted goods at lower cost and sold them at high prices in Europe....... the military was also maintained at the cost of Indians.... in this way, the colonial rule was responsible for the widespread poverty in India... hope it helps you... please mark it branliest if possible
