Deep Blue
this is also the reason blue water colours and others blue paints are named as Cobalt Blue etc. As Cobalt (II) gives out blue colour.

The colour imparted by Co(II) compounds to glass is deep blue.

Cobalt is primarily used as the metal, in the preparation of magnetic, wear-resistant and high-strength alloys. Its compounds cobalt silicate and cobalt(II) aluminate give a distinctive deep blue color to glass, ceramics, inks, paints and varnishes.
