the colour of Cu ion is blue due to which colour of all salts of Cu is blue but why is the colour of CuO black??​

Explanation:

Cu+1 has d10 configuration (filled shell) so there is no possibility of a d-d transition of electrons, whereas Cu+2 has d9 configuration, with one d-orbital only half-filled with an electron. Usually d-d transitions have energy that corresponds to visible wavelength of the spectrum, and therefore lends the transition metal complexes a distinct color. However, d-s transition, for example, would have energy that corresponds to UV range of the spectrum, and therefore would appear to our eye as “colorless”.
