The reaction of sodium chloride and silver nitrate is as follow:

AgNO3 + NaCl → AgCl + NaNO3

In AgCl downward arrow will come. Because formation of precipitate takes place. The formed precipitate are white in colour i.e. Silver chloride.

The above reaction is an example of double displacement reaction.
