•According to the question, the column of mercury in a biometer is 76 mm of Hg, now we have to calculate the atmospheric pressure if the density of mercury = 13600 kg/m^3

From the question, we know that pressure= h×d×g

where h=hight of the Mercury in the barometer

d= density of the mercury

g= acceleration due to gravity

and given p= 13.6×10^3 kg/m^3

g= 10 m/s^2

h=76cm=0.76 m

so the atmospheric pressure would be

p= 0.76×3.6×10^3×10

= 1.03×10^5 Pa
