Answer:

we have to find :  common factor of x^{2} y^{2} and x^{3} y^{3}

we know identities of  x^{2} y^{2} and x^{3} y^{3}

 x^{2} y^{2}  = ( x + y ) (x  - y )

and ,  x^{3} y^{3}  =  (x - y ) ( x^{2}  + xy + y^{2} )

common factor =  ( x - y )

hence ( x - y ) is the common factor.

Answer:

x^{2} y^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

The given two monomials are x^{2} y^{2} and x^{3} y^{3}.

Now, we have to find common factors of the given monomials.

On factorizing, we get

x^{2} y^{2} = x*x*y*y

x^{3} y^{3} = x*x*x*y*y*y

∴ As we can see clearly, Common factors of x^{2} y^{2} and x^{3} y^{3} are x*x*y*y

i.e. x^{2} y^{2}.
