The common name of wheat is simpler than its scientific name Triticum aestivum. Why then is the simpler common name not used instead of the complex scientific name in biology?

I think because , in scientific language though the names are hard the mostly show us the components present in it and sometime they are like Roman words and as we are not familiar to it we feel it's difficult
