The common ratio of gp 3,-6,12 -24,48 is -2

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that if

a_1,a_2,a_3,a_4,...... are terms of a GP (geometric Progression), then common ratio of the GP is given by

r=\frac{a_2}{a_1}=\frac{a_3}{a_2}=\frac{a_4}{a_3}=....

In other words, if we divide the succeeding term by its previous term we get the common ratio of a GP

Here, given the GP

3,-6,12,-24,48,...

The common ratio will be

r=\frac{-6}{3}=-2

Hope this answer is helpful.
