here complementary angle is given 26 degree
then the angle which 26 degree complement is 90 - 26 = 64

64 is the main angle

supplementary angle is equal to 180-64=116

Given : The complement of angle is 26°

To find : The supplement of the angle.

Solution :

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process. (our goal is to calculate the supplement of the said angle)

Now, we know that :

  • If sum of two angles is equal to 90°, then those angles are called complementary angles.
  • If sum of of two angles is equal to 180°, then those angles are called supplementary angles.

Let, the angle = x°

According to the previously mentioned mathematical property of complementary angle, we get :

90 - x = 26

-x = 26 - 90

-x = -64

x = 64

So, the main angle = x° = 64°

Now, the supplement of the main angle will be :

Main angle + Its supplement = 180°

Its supplement = 180° - Main angle

Its supplement = 180° - 64°

Its supplement = 116°

(This will be considered as the final result.)

Hence, supplement of that angle is 116°
