Answer:

The Complement Rule states that the sum of the probabilities of an event and its complement must equal 1, or for the event A, P(A) + P(A') = 1

Answer:

Question :

The complement of P(A) is 1 - P(A)?

Answer :

Yes .

We know that a whole is equal to 1.

A part in it is P(A).

The remaining ( 1- P(A) ) is P(A').

So,

P(A') = 1 - P(A)

and also

P(A) = 1- P(A')

So,

1 = P(A) + P(A')

Hence, simply we found the answer. For clearance refer attachment also.

Thank you !
