The compounds of Cu2+ are colored but those of zinc are color
colored but those of zinc are colorless. Explain.​

Cu^2+ is colored because it has it's d orbital incomplete.In the case of Zn..i it has it's d orbital count equal to total 10 electrons..i.e..its d orbital is complete.So electron excitation takes place in Cu ^2+ more effectively...Hence the reason
