Views for the statement are as follows -

Computers are digital devices, possessed by most individuals in the world. The handy devices are the key to everything in the world.

This single device has replaced the use of multiple gadgets like a calculator, watch, and game stations. It has also provided access to multiple things like shopping, banking, etc.

The computers can hold a huge amount of data on the smallest and portable devices like the hard disk. Internet connectivity helps in accessing data in any corner of the world.

In such a scenario, it can easily replace books. At the times, when we witness climate change due to deforestation, publishing books seems to be unnecessary activity. This can save loads of trees which are cut down to form papers for books.

The books can not be read in lack of light, but computers are easily accessible at night without disturbing others. Thus, I firmly believe that the situation can lead to the replacement of books with computers.
