Hey there !

Here's the answer !

Mass / Mass % = ( Mass of solute / Mass of solution ) * 100

=> Mass of solution = 400 g

=> Mass by Mass % = 12 %

=> Mass of sugar = ?

Mass of sugar * 100 / 400 = 12

=> Mass of sugar * 1 / 4 = 12

=> Mass of sugar = 12 * 4 / 1

=> Mass of sugar = 48 g

Hence the required answer is 48 g of sugar.

Hope my answer helped !
