The concentration of aqueous solution of HCl is 71%(w/w). Calculate the molality.

Hi Friend

The direct formula is not used for such calculations.

Concentration is in percent meaning

100g solution has 71 g HCl

so no of moles of HCl is 71/36.5=2

so molality is calculated as moles of solute dissolved per kg of solvent.

so 2/0.1= 20 mol/kg.
