The family which considers children health is important and that which it promotes is known as conceptual family, here, the child is “health-promoting actor”.  Democracy is where one is allowed to practice what one desires.  The family as a whole desires to promote the health of the children and this is what is included in “The Conceptual family of democracy”

The conceptual family of democracy includes autonomy, equality and liberty.

Autonomy means - the right or condition of self government, a self-governing country or region, freedom from external control or influence, independence.

Equality means - the state of being equal, especially in status, rights or opportunities.

Liberty means - freedom from arbitrary or despotic control.

Democracy is a system of rule by laws and not by individuals. The rule of law protects the citizens' rights, and maintains order. All the citizens are equal under the law. No discrimination can be made on the basis of race, religion, gender or ethnic group.
