when we insert any data in computer then it is not meaningful but when it is proccessed and gives a meaningful information
eg rohit class 7 roll no. 3 but when it will be processed then it will show as information name rohit

Data are the raw facts which given by user to computer. It is operating system responsibility to convert it into information ( Proper arrangement of data is called information ) then it interpret it and command to hardware that what user wants and according user data it give a meaningful information.
