Inequality still exists because a majority of people -educated or not educated - still believe in stigma and stereotypes. For eg:Untouchability ,even though banned , still exists. The term 'Dalits' is not supposed to be used by anyone but still major newschannels and newspapers still use it. Another majjor reason is gender inequality . The girl child is still majorly discriminated. She is not given equal chances  as the boys in her family. All these exist mainly because people are scared of social exclusion and because of their pride and stuborness.
