unwritten constitution are also written, but not codified in a single document. There are many laws books on the basis of which the governance is run. But those laws are not codified in a single book, so it it called unwritten or uncodified constitution.
By the way, the constitution of uk is partly written. means some of the laws are written in books, but some laws are being implemented as it as they were in tradition.
