Three simple ways in which the consumer redressal process can be made simpler are as follows.
(1) The use of conventional lawyers should be one away with. People should have a choice of representing their own case with proper proofs. Hiring lawyers is a very tedious and costly process which normal citizens may not afford at all times.
(2) There should be an online platform for making a redressal. When governance all over the world in going online, customer redressal should be made online without delay as there can be a greater participation from the people.
(3) Laws related to consumer redressal should be made easy to understand for the general public. These laws are itself written in such a way that it demoralises a layman to come forward and file a case. These three steps can massively improve the redressal process.
