According to the question,

                  (x,y) = (4,-3)

Distance from x-axis = 3units

Distance from y-axis = 4 units

Distance from origin = root(3²+4²) = root(5²) = 5 units

The distance from x axis = 3. From y axis = 4. From origin = 5.

In the question we are given the coordinates of a point m(4,-3). We are asked what are the distances of the point M from axis.

1) As the y coordinate of the point m is -3 this means it is 3 units below the x axis hence:-

The distance of point m from the x axis = 3.

2) As the x coordinate of the point m is 4, this means it is 4 units right of the y axis,hence:-

The distance of point m from the y axis = 4.

3) The distance of the point from the origin can be calculated from the distance formula which is:-

sqrt( sqr(3) + sqr(4)) = sqrt(25) = 5.

Where sqrt denotes square root and sqr denotes square of a number.
