Let x= 2, y= -3, x2=1, and y2=4,

we have to find the coordinates of point P(x1,y1)

by midpoint formula,

x= x1 + x2/2

2=x1 + 1/2

2×2=x1+1

4=x1+1

4-1=x1

x1=3

similarly,

y=y1+y2/2

-3=y1+4/2

-3×2=y1+4

-6=y1+4

-6-4=y1

y1=-10

Ans. P has coordinates (3, -10)
