mid point of the line joining the points (3p, 4) and (-2, 2q)

=
 = ( \frac{3p - 2}{2} . \:  \frac{4 + 2q}{2} )
but given mid point is (5, p)

so comparing these

(3p-2)/2=5. and. (4+2q)/2=p

3p-2=10. and. 4+2q=2p

p=12/3. and. q = (2p-4)/2

p=4. therefore q= (2*4-4)/2= (8-4)/2

q= 4/2 =2

hope it helps.....
