S O L U T I O N :-

•Let C(3,4) , A(3,2) and B(x,y)

Now the mid point of B and C is A

Therefore by mid point formula:-

(-3,2)=(3+x)/2, (4+y)/2

-3=(3+x)/2 and 2=(4+y)/2

-6=3+x and 4=4+y

-6-3=x and 4-4=y

x=-9 and y=0

Therefore the coordinates of the other end of the diameter will be (-9,0) .

V E R I F I C A T I O N :-

Since , we have two points B(-9,0) and C (3,4) , Finding the coordinates of A (x,y) i,e mid point of BC

A(x,y)=(-9+3)/2 , (0+4)/2

A(x,y)=-6/2 , 4/2

A(x,y)=-3,2

Hence, verified

•Let P(x1,y1) and Q(x2,y2) be the two given points then the midpoint of these coordinates will be (x1+x2)/2 , (y1+y2)/2 respectively. This formula is also known as mid point formula.
