the coordinates of the point of intersection of lines a X + b y = 9 and b x +a Y = 5 is( 3,-1) find the values of a and b?​

Answer:

here given two equations ax+by=9

                                           bx+ay=5

the intersection points are x=3,y=-1

now substituting them we get

   3a-b=9                ----(1)

   3b-a=5 (x3)         -----(2)

---------------------------

3a-b=9

9b-3a=15

----------------------------

8b=24

b = 3

now substituting it in eq--(1)

3a-3=9

3a=9+3

a=12/3

a=4

therefore a=a and b=3
