The coordinates of the point of intersection of the lines ax+by=7andbx+ay=5 is (3,1).find the values of a and b. i want the answer at this moment onlyyyy....​

here is the ans

if (3,1) is the point of intersection

then it lies on both the lines :-

so, equations =

3a+b = 7

a+3b = 5

now , solving the equations by elimination method:-

so, we get b= 1 and a = 2

since the coordinates(x, y) are given,we will put 3 in place of x and 1 in place of y....

3a+b=7

a+3b=5

multiplying the equation 2by 3

3a+b=7

3a+9b=15

subtracting the equations

-8b= -8

b=1

on putting b=1 in second eq. we will get a=2
