Soapy wanted to enter the luxurious cafe to have roasted mallard duck for dinner without paying for it, so that he would get arrested.

The luxurious was located at the Broadway. Soapy planned to have dinner in a luxurious cafe without paying for it because he wanted to get arrested.

But however his plan failed because as soon the waiter saw his broken shoes and torn clothes, he threw him out of the restaurant.

But he was determined to go to jail, so he threw a stone at the door of the restaurant.

Then, the head waiter got furious called the cops.

However, cops did not take him to jail because Soapy looked like a college boy and they did not believe that a criminal would confess his crime to a policeman.

The head waiter of the luxurious café did not allow Soapy to enter because he saw that Soapy was wearing tattered trousers and decadent shoes.

He did not allow Soapy to enter the big restaurant since, as soon as Soapy entered that restaurant, the head waiter saw Soapy's torn shoes and clothes,  as only rich people use to come to that restaurant so the head waiter felt uncomfortable  or uneasy allowing Soapy to enter the big restaurant.Although Soapy was shaven, his coat was trim and wore a neat black bow, his shoes were decadent and trousers were tattered and by default the head waiter in the luxurious cafe noticed it and turned him away.
