The cordinates of the triangle ABC are A ( 3 , 2) , B ( 4 , 9 ) and C ( 6, 3 ) .
a) What is the length of AB ?
b) What is the length of BC ?
c) Prove that ABC is a right triangle ?​

BY DISTANCE FORMULA,

AB= √(x2 - x1)² + (y2 - y1)²

= √ [(4-3) ² + (9-2)²]

= √ (1)² + (7)²

= √ 1+49

= √50

= 5√2 is the ans of (a)

b) By same (distance formula ) you can find this out .

I will just give you the given you just in formulae substitute/put in it.

AB = √ (x2-x1)² + (y2-y1)²

x1 = 4, y1= 9

x2= 6, y2 = 3

and put the values in formulae and you can get a final answer of (b)

c) In the same way write this ↓

FIRST FIND AC BY THE DISTANCE FORMULA

side AB = side BC = SIDE AC

:. All the sides of a right triangle are congruent .

:. ∆ ABC is a right triangle
