The core of the Earth's interior is made up of hard rock it is right or wrong explain?

If you want to take it literally? getting into details. Then the above statement is wrong. Yes, there is rock in the layers of the Earth's interior.

But the Earth is made up of 4 layers. Solid and liquid.

-The deepest layer is a solid iron ball

-Its about 1,500 miles in diameter.

-The inner core is white hot and the pressure is so high the iron cannot melt.

-According to experts this iron contains sulfur and nickel and plus smaller amounts of other elements.

-Above the inner core is the outer core:

-Its a shell of liquid iron.

- It is composed mostly of iron, plus substantial amounts of sulfur and nickel.

SO THEREFORE THE CORE IS NOT MADE UP OF SOLID ROCK. BUT THE MIDDLE OF IT, IS MADE UP OF ROCK. THE MANTLE.

- Mantle:

-It is made up of hot rock, not lava.

-The mantle is about 1,800 miles thick and seems to be divided into two layers: the upper mantle and the lower mantle.

Answer:

True.

Explanation:

  • The core of the earth is in the form of a solid sphere with a radius of 1220 kilometers which is 20% of the earth's radius. The inner core is said formed by metals like the iron and nickel alloy and other heavy elements.
  • The inner core the temperatures can reach up to 5700 k, the p waves have the ability to travel through the solid core the inner core cools and solidifies it's slowly goring with the outer semi-solid core.
  • The liquid above thus becomes enriched with oxygen thus becomes less dense than the outer core and hence creates convection currents that reach the surface.
