1) Two Houses of Indian Parliament are Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, where Lok Sabha is the Lower House and is the House of the People(House of Representatives in the U.S.), Rayjya Sabha is the Upper House comprised of State Representatives of the Union of India(Senate in the U.S.).

2) Tenure of Lok Sabha as Given by the Constitution of Republic of India is 5 Years, after every tenure general elections are held for the representatives in the lower house.

3) Three Qualifications in order to hold the office of President of the Republic of India are:

a) Must not Hold Any Office under the Indian Government, or any State Government.

b) Age must be atleast 35 Years.

c) Must be qualified with all the laws prescribed in the constitution.

4) President can use the emergency powers, only when there had been a signed written request delievered to the President by Cabinet of Ministers headed by the Prime Minister, it is most commonly declared when in case of riots, financial troubles, terriorst attacks and threat to the existence, siverignity, legislature and unity.

5) The Composition of Lok Sabha:

The Lok Sabha consist of 545 Members, and of these 530 are elected directly by the Public from the States, and 13 from the Union Territories, and left 2 are Nominated Anglo-Indians by the President.
