heya!

here's ur answer...

Let the required cost be ₹x.

Then,More packets, More cost (Direct Proportion)

More weight, More cost (Direct Proportion)

Packets 16 : 27

Weight 900 : 1000 :: 28 : x

(16 x 900 x x) = (27 x 1000 x 28)

x = (27 x 1000 x 28) /16 x 900

= 105 /2

= 52.50

hope this helps...

The cost of 27 packets of 1 kg each is Rs. 52.50(option a).

Step-by-step explanation:

  • The weight of each packet =900 g
  • The weight of 16 such packets = 16\times 900 = 14400 g = 14.4 kg
  • Cost of 14.40 g of salt = Rs 28
  • Thus, the cost of 1 kg salt = Rs (\frac{28}{14.40}) = Rs 1.944

Now, to find the cost of 27 packets of 1 kg

Total weight=  27 \times 1 = 27 kg

  • So, cost = 27 \times Rs 1.944 = Rs 52.50

The cost of 27 packets is Rs. 52.50.
