Let the cost of each pen =Rs.x, each pencil =Rs.y and of each eraser =Rs.z

As per the given information,
2x+3y+4z=46 --- (1)
3x+y+6z=62 --- (2)

Multiplying eqn 1 with 3 we get
6x+9y+12z=138 --- (3)

Multiplying eqn 2 with 2 we get
6x+2y+12z=124 --- (4)

Subtracting eqn 4 from eqn 3, we get
7y=14
=>y=2

So, cost of each pencil =Rs2
