Given cost of 2 chairs and 3 tables is Rs. 6050 i.e., 2c+3t=6050--------->1

also given  3 chairs and 2 tables is Rs. 5450 i.e, 3c+2t=5450--------->2

On solving 1 and 2 we get t=8728 i.e, cost of one chair.

Answer:

The cost of 1 table is Rs 1250

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the cost of 2 chairs and 3 tables is Rs. 6050 and that of 3 chairs and 2 tables is Rs. 5450.

we have to find the price of 1 table.

Let x be the cost of chair and y be the cost of table.

As the cost of 2 chairs and 3 tables is Rs. 6050

⇒ 2x+3y=6050  →  (1)

and the cost of 3 chairs and 2 tables is Rs. 5450.

⇒ 3x+2y=5450   →   (2)

Solving (1) and (2), we get

Multiply equation 1 by 3 and 2 by 2 then subtracting, we get

5y=7250 ⇒ y=1250

Hence, the cost of 1 table is Rs 1250
